The Yogsutra™ Cold-Pressed Mustard Oil 5L jar holds the same unrefined, pungent sarson ka tel as our 1 litre bottle, in a sturdy jar with a handle and cap. No additives or preservatives. It is pressed slowly at low temperature, the cold-pressed way, so the seed’s own flavour comes through. We follow authentic extraction processes to preserve the natural goodness.
Kitchen uses: Use it for sarson ka saag, aloo-baingan, fish curry, Bengali jhol, tadka with rai and methi, deep-frying, and above all for homemade achaar: mango, nimbu, gajar-mirch. Many cooks heat mustard oil until it lightly smokes, then cool it slightly before use to mellow its sharpness. The 5L jar is handy when you are putting up several jars of achaar at once or cooking for a large family.
